The critical value for determining an AI aircraft parking spot minimum size in FSX is in the aircraft.cfg file - under the airplane geometry section - the wing_span= value is critical.
However, the model radius is still important because it determines how close aircraft models come to each other while in taxi behavior, and how large the 'bubble' around the AI and user aircraft is for crash detection.
